Description
This video game is based on a professional wrestling game released on the PS2 console. THQ Inc. published this game. THQ was an American video game company based in Agoura Hills, California. his series is the fourth installment of the main series based on the WWE ( World Wrestling Entertainment ). It is the sequel to the WWE: Here Comes The Pain game. This game is also the first game of this series that contains a “WWE” Banner. The NTSC used big characters like Kurt Angle, Brock Lesnar, Triple H, Chris Jericho, and Booker T in the front of the game image or feature images.
Gameplay
This game has a session mode extended for 2 years without any updates. And it includes brand extensions related to Ric Flair’s Raw and Vince McMahon’s SmackDown. Players can participate in season mode for the first time in this game. Players are especially competitive as they are shelled out on the show for the first few months of the first year. which includes four raw and one monthly pay-per-view event. Like its predecessors, this game does not compete for championships in exhibition mode and can only be defended in season mode. All the major WWE titles of the time except the Women’s Championship are included in this game. Within this game, character outfits, and additional move set arenas can be unlocked throughout the Season Mood. The arena, whose exterior is based on the design of Madison Square Garden.
This game was updated to include realistic facial features of the characters during development. Added animated entrances for each character. And the entrance of the title belt is realistically displayed, for example before the start of a fight a character entering the ring will first raise his engraved belt to his head and show it to all the spectators.
The notable areas of this game are a subway stop in New York City called SmakeDiwn Station, Times Square, and the world. The game features several arenas based on various pay-per-views held by WWE in 2001 and 2002. In certain arenas, players can use their fists to scale the Titantron and jump off it. Also, the undertaker can take his motorcycle to the backstage area before the match. Offers more than 58 move sets with combinations of WWE superstars. This is the first game to feature different brands, raw, and superstars.
