Description
Tom and Jerry in War of the Whiskers is an action 3d video game published by NewKidCo For PS2. After release, the game was gradually released on other consoles. The game is a sequel to its other series of fighting video games Fists of Furry, which is available only on Nintendo 64 and Windows. The game can be played by four players together. It is the only game released to receive a T rating. This version of the PlayStation 2 was released in all major regions or countries. It received a Metacritic score of 63/100 from critics on the PlayStation 2.
Gameplay
It is a type of four-player arena fighting video game and is also played from a third-person perspective. The main objective of the game is to defeat an opponent at the right time and round. There are three types of gameplay, the first is the challenge mode: where the opponents are the enemies of selected characters from the classic Tom and Jerry cartoons. The main boss of the game is Jerry. One of Tom’s creations is a huge, frightening mutant Robot Cat or Jerry. The second mode of the game is Versus: where one-on-one battles are held or promoted. The last mode is Tag Battle: where a player can fight two enemies with a friend, much like online modes.
Also, the game has 4 types of modes such as single-player, versus, tag team, and team play modes. The game is similar to an online Ludo game where players can unlock new characters by winning against fictional computer characters. The game characters include Tom, Jerry, Butch, Spike, Tyke, Robot Cat, Eagle, Lion, Nibbles, Monster Jerry and Duck. In the game, these characters can use more than 75 weapons to kill each other. By completing coins and mods, in-game characters can unlock clothing and accessories as well. The game’s twelve destructible environments include a kitchen, beach, snowy winter, cruise ship, junkyard, haunted construction site, Italian market, haunted house, mad scientist lab, western town, castle, hell, and a boxing arena.
