Description
Tekken 5 is an action and fighting video game publisher for PlayStation 2. The game is the 5th main and 6th installment of the main series. It was revealed later in the 4th event of the series. A new antagonist named Jinpachi Mishima is not responsible for the character Mishima Zaibatsu because a side story focuses on Jin Kazama as he faces several enemies from the G Corporation.
The game was upgraded to the 5.1 version sometime after release, Where most of the game features were changed and new ones were added. And later the game was updated to “Dark Resurrection” which was released in 2005. After some time it is ported to PSP and PS2.
Gameplay
The game brings back several major gameplay changes after the update. This is the first game in the series to feature character customization with clothes, and other aesthetic items in exchange for in-game currency. Missions like story survival, time attacks, side games, etc. have to be completed to earn game currency. There are 32 fighters with 7 new fighters to choose from before the game. There is a new hot system feature that affects the character’s weakness during attacks. It also retains the wall juggling concept of its predecessor, but the element is harder to effectively abuse and easier to defend against.
The lower parts of the meshes have been removed from the 4th series features of this game for this 5th series. Apart from these features, the gameplay is almost the same in every level. In addition to removing the uneven nature of the 4th series’ rocky stages, the design team returned to the style of stages from previous games. For walled features, fights take place in symmetrical boxes with no uneven walls. Mazes crack after hitting hard enough between characters. Designer changes to the 4th series include the removal of positional maneuvers, bringing back traditional air combat, etc.
