Based on the popular Japanese manga series Akregonia Baragonira, the creator of the Dragon Z series created the Super Dragon Ball Z series, a 3D cel-shaded fighting video game. The game was first released for all PlayStation consoles and much later it was released for PlayStation 2. It is produced by Arika and Crafts & Masters led by Noritaka Funamizu. 18 playable characters, destructible environments, and a game engine were added to make the game a more traditional fighting game.

The game was first released in Japan. It sold 95,082 units in its first week of release and ranked No. 2 in software sales in Japan the same week on Trending. The game sold a total of 370,000 copies worldwide.

Features

    1. The game makes itself more advanced and innovative than the previous series.
    2. The game features hand-to-hand combat and “dial-a-combos” as well as “fireball motion” and similar moves from older games.
    3. The series further developed the Super Saiyan forms of older game characters such as Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, Trunks, etc.
    4. The game has several types of modes Which makes the players more fun.
    5. One mode of the game is Z Survivor, where players can fight different opponents as long as their health is above zero.

    7. In training mode, the player battles against a computer opponent and online players.
    8. Players can use default characters or their custom versions from the memory card slot.
    9. Players enter Shenron Summon mode to summon Shenron only after collecting seven Dragon Balls with custom characters.
    10. Here players can create custom characters as their own.
    11. There are 30 available slots for these custom characters, which can be used in the game’s Original, Jade Survivor, Training, Summon Shenron, and Versus modes.
