Based on the popular manga and anime series Naruto created by Masashi Kishimoto artists, the 3D fighting video game Naruto: Ultimate Ninja released in Japan is known as the Narutimate Series. The game was first released for the PlayStation 2, followed by other consoles in the following days or months. Its PlayStation 3 version introduced the first three-dimensional combat feature. This is the main and first game of this series. Many games were released such as Ninja 2, Ninja 3, Ninja 4, Ninja 5, etc. The latest version of the game was ported to the Nintendo Switch much later. The games in this series have sold more than 20 million copies worldwide as of December 2019.
The manga or anime the game is based on has episodes 1 to 53, which coincides with the beginning of the “Rescue Gaara” story and the end of the “Sasuke Chase” story. There are 62 characters as main features and follow the Naruto anime’s storyline. A supporting character is present in its new gameplay. Characters are chosen before the start of the game and are present during the game to deal additional damage.
