Description
This game is a series of fighting and action video games based on the popular manga and anime series Naruto by Masashi Kishimoto. The game includes episodes 1 to 53 of the Naruto Shippuden anime, corresponding to the beginning of the “Rescue Gaara” story and the end of the “Sasuke chase” story. The first game of this series was released in 2004 for PS2 published by Bandai Namco Games. Series of these games have been released on various platforms with different titles such as Ninja Storm for the PlayStation 3, which was the first to feature three-dimensional combat and started the long-running Storm sub-series. The games in this series were released on Xbox and PC even before the start of the PlayStation family. For Xbox, it is called Strom 2 and for Windows, it is called strom 3. The latest series of this game was also ported to the Nintendo Switch.
This game is known in Japan as, Narutimate Accel 2. It is the fifth installment series of the Naruto series. This game contains 62 characters and contains a Naruto Shippuden storyline. New gameplay includes a supporting character. They are chosen before the start of the game and can be called in any match to deal extra damage during the game.
Gameplay
In this fifth series, there is an assisted player for better gameplay. These characters act as a support when something big is attacking or fighting. Certain combinations of characters create unique jutsu in a match; these combinations reflect the association of those characters from the anime and manga. The characters of the previous game are modified in this series. There are many updates including the aforementioned assist-specific ones.
The Summons character has been removed from this game. The game retains the RPG mode from the previous game. Instead of Sumon character, another character has been brought which is called Naruto, who is controlled in this game by players. However, the Hero’s History mode that retells the events of the original series has been discarded, though the characters themselves remain in the game. It was also the last of the Ultimate Ninja Series for the PlayStation 2.
