Description
Hitman: Blood Money is the best stealth video game ever published by Eidos Interactive. It is a clone account published for every portal and is the fourth installment of its mine series. This corny story follows cloned assassin Agent 47’s attempts to bring down the franchise. This rival contract-killing organization threatens its employers with the International Contract Agency (ICA) and seeks to obtain the same cloning technology that produced 47.
The game became a critical and commercial success upon release, selling over 2.1 million copies upon release. The game is considered the last of the greatest video games ever made by many publications and critics.
Gameplay
Like the previous installments, the game has the player control the series protagonist Agent 47, who has to kill various targets to complete missions. Armed guards, security checkpoints, witnesses, and other obstruction agents attempt to prevent the 47 from succeeding. This game is played from a third-person perspective. A map showing each topographical area and location of objectives and characters helps the player have better gameplay.
New features introduced in this game include overcoming obstacles, improved unarmed combat, using non-player characters as human shields, disposing of corpses, improved character animations, a new game engine, and the ability to upgrade weapons and equipment, etc. Five of the game’s featured weapons, and some equipment, can be upgraded to more items.
Agent 47 can craft weapons to complete missions, such as nail guns, toy air rifles, knives, screwdrivers, stilettos, cane swords, fire extinguishers, hammers, and hedge clippers. The game features a notoriety system that rises and falls based on Agent 47’s success. The more infamous Agent 47 becomes, the easier it becomes for NPCs to identify him. Agent 47’s infamy will rise if the character is seen on video surveillance. Agent 47’s notoriety will be minimal if a player completes a mission perfectly. After the completion of each mission, a newspaper article containing the results of the mission, Agent 47’s notoriety level, the most used weapon and how accurately it was used, the number of police, security, and civilian casualties, and its existence is displayed at the end of the game. Players are awarded ratings based on mission success.
