Description
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories is one of the games in the GTA series. This is the 10th installment of the main series. The game is Set within the fictional Vice City which is based on a city in the US known as Miami. The game follows the exploits of ex-soldier Victor Vance, a character featured in the game. The story mainly revolves around Victor and his brother Lance trying to build a criminal empire, which is the main story of the game.
The game received generally very positive reviews from critics and has sold over 4.5 million copies since its release, making it the second best-selling PSP game of all time, behind another series, Liberty City Stories. Gameplay
First of all the game is played from a third-person perspective view and also the game is set to have a similar structure as the other series. The game’s core gameplay consists mainly of a third-person shooter and a driving game element that allows the player to move around a large environment at will. Also capable of walking, running, swimming, and jumping, wielding weapons, and basic hand-to-hand combat. The player can drive various vehicles present in the game such as automobiles, boats, planes, helicopters, etc. The game’s storyline missions are usually necessary for the game to progress, but they are not required if the player does not want them to, as the player can complete them at their leisure. If there are no storyline missions, players can roam around the game world. The player can also complete various optional side missions within the wheat. Another feature of the game is “Beach Patrol”, where the player character Victor can take on bikers on the street by pushing or shooting them to knock them off their bikes or beach buggies.
One of the biggest changes in the game is the hand-to-hand combat system where the player can fight hand-to-hand with enemies or street thugs without weapons. When caught by the cops, the player can bribe the policemen or hospital staff to survive. One of the core gameplay elements of this game is “Empire Building”. In the game, players can operate various businesses on looted property from enemy gangs to earn money. Once a player has fought and removed a gang or enemy from a particular business, it becomes available for purchase. Each business has different missions that reward the player with different bonuses on completion. After opening a business the player sometimes has to defend the businesses they own from being attacked by gangs.
