Description
Final Fantasy X is a 3D video game released as the tenth main entry in the Minecraft series. The game world comprises the South Pacific region, Thailand Japan, etc. The game has a story that revolves around a group of adventurers and their quest to defeat a terrifying monster called Sin. The player’s main character in the game is Tidus, who is a star athlete. Sin found him in Spira after the game’s main character attacked his hometown of Zanakan. Shortly after arriving on Spira, Tidus learns the true identity of his missing father, Zecht, and summons Yuna to destroy Sin.
Gameplay
Like previous games in the series, this game is played from a third-person perspective. Here players directly navigate the main character Tidus to interact with people and various essentials. As Tidus explores the world, he encounters enemies from different directions and fights to defeat them.
This game is different from previous games. The locations explored in the game are almost continuous and never disappear into the globe map. As with previous games in the series, there are several minigames, including the fun mode Underwater Sport Blitzball. Some of the game modes are discussed below.
Combat:
This mode was first used in the 1st series of this game. In this mode, there is a graphical timeline at the top-right of the screen that indicates the next turn and how the various actions taken will affect the order of subsequent turns accordingly. The player can control three characters in battle. There is a swapping system that allows the player to replace a character outside the active party at any time. While the overdrives here can be used when the character takes a lot of damage, the player can pick up the items needed to unlock them. This mode has a special aspect where a summoned creature will appear, perform an action, and leave like in the previous series. In this mode, a creature named “Aeon” will appear and fight in battle until either the Aeon wins the battle or is defeated himself. Players gain five ages by completing the Cloister of Trials puzzle.
Sphere Grid:
Like previous games in the series, players defeat enemies and loot to develop and improve their characters. Instead of the game’s characters gaining predetermined stat bonuses for their attributes, each character accumulates enough ability points and gains “sphere levels”. Sphere levels help players move around the sphere grid. This system allows players to customize characters against their battle roles.
Blitzball:
Blitzball is a minigame that requires strategy. The underwater sport is a large and rotating sphere of water with a large stadium for spectators. The player controls a character here as they perform shots, tackles, and try to score. The gameplay is similar to the original game. In this case, the enemy is the main member of the opposing team. It is the only minigame that plays a role in the overall plot line, and its first scene features Sin, the main antagonist of the game.
