Description
Def Jam – Fight For NY ROM is a 3D fighting video game published by EA Canada and released for PS2. This game was the second installment of the main Def Jam-licensed hip-hop video game series. There is an immediate story behind the creation of this game. A character D Mob was arrested by NYPD cops Starks and Jervis and took place behind the cop car when an SUV hit the car. D Mob comes out and sits in that SUV. A policeman named Jarvis catches a glimpse of the suspect who crashed the cop’s car. He later explains everything that happened in the area to Loren. And that doubter or suspect becomes “The Hero” which is his name.
After this incident, the D mob was safely brought back to his house. D Mod introduced him to Blaze and Sticky Finger and included him in his gang. Gradually creating a loss for D Mob to win numerous fights and clubs. Crow’s gang (Trejo, Magic, sticky) attempts a drive-by shooting where an accident occurs. Unhurt Hero makes them into the subway subway, and when the others manage to escape Trejo is potentially trapped and Hero kills him. After returning to the limo when Hero and Blaze are confronted by the police, the d mob helps them escape, and he is arrested by the police. After D Mob’s arrest, there was trouble among the rest of his gang. And do a lot of torture on Hero and his companions. At the end of the episode, the hero deals with the crow. As the two crews fight, Hero traps A Crow in his office and later kills him by throwing him out of the window.
Gameplay
The game is derived from the original game which was a wrestling game. Fighters in the game can choose one, two, or three of five combat bodies. Fighting styles include street fighting, kickboxing, martial arts wrestling, etc. The game allows you to throw opponents against obstacles, hit walls, slam a door or window in the face, and use other objects in the environment to inflict massive damage on them. Momentum is gained by successfully outmaneuvering the opponent and executing and countering moves. Players can customize the game’s characters by combining clothes, tattoos, and jewelry. This is how a character can build their momentum. A fighter can activate it after the momentum meter is full, resulting in a Blazin taunt. Since the warriors in this state are called Blazin. Each character has a powerful and brutal attack personal to them. A created character can learn every blazin move, but can only use 4 at any one time.
Although the game focuses on mixed fighting style, the only way to win this game is by knockout. The game has a health bar that indicates when the fighter is in the knockout phase. Knockouts are earned through other health bars used in the game. With each injury, a warrior’s consciousness declines faster than their physical health. Strong hits and Blazin can be used to defeat the enemy in danger. Defeat opponents while they have high health to deplete their health.
The game has another mode called story mode. After winning the match you earn coins, through which you can buy many clothes and shoes for your character. Besides clothing, jewelers and other items can be purchased from Jodha Jacob. Winning matches unlocks clubs and defeated fighters, along with their spare jewelry, can be taken. The fighters of this game can be used in battle mode and their moves and jewels can be bought and used by players.
