Description
This series is an Action-adventure video game released for PlayStation 2. A version of this game was released for Xbox 360 and Wii on March 4, 2008, and on 21 October 2008 for Windows, developed by Mad Doc Software. This game was re-released for PlayStation 4 in 2016. An updated version of this game was released for Android & iOS on 8 December 2016 by War Drum Studios.
The single-player story in the fictional town of Bullworth follows teenage delinquent student Jimmy” Hopkins, who reluctantly enrolls at an academy boarding school in Bulworth for a year and continues to rise through the ranks of the school system. In this game, players control the hostage as he tries to become popular through various side missions and joining classes and other activities in the school. This game has a scholarship version of competitive multiplayer mode where 2 players can earn it through competition. The original version of this game sold over 1.5 million copies and received multiple accolades.
Gameplay
This game is played from a third-person perspective camera view. The game’s open environment or map can be navigated on foot, skateboard, motorcycle, etc. The main character of this game is the hostage who is controlled by the players of this game. The hostage is a high school student teenage rebel. Hostages progress through 6 chapters and school groups throughout the game. Missions in this game allow players to be rewarded with cash, new items, and increasing or decreasing the honor of certain factions. However, in this game, one team treats the hostage in a friendly manner and the other team attacks the hostage on sight. Outside of missions players can travel throughout the city and complete optional missions.
If players don’t want to complete the mission they have to participate in the class present as in the mini game. Each mission consists of 5 classes. And if you pass these classes, you will be rewarded. For example, not attending class is considered a violation of the rules and requires an apology from the referee, and players are rewarded for attending class in full.
In this game, players can fight enemies, melee attacks and use weapons. Available weapons include slingshots, marble bags, itching powder, wooden planks, etc. In this game, the hostage can swim, run, and skateboard. But you cannot drive a car. Players catch moving cars while on the skateboard. When the player’s health is completely depleted the gameplay stops and the player is brought to the medical center.
